Another sodding gift guide; you’re welcome. Sort of. I’m not going to point you in the direction of a good whisky for your dad or a pair of slippers for your mum. I’m hopeless at that sort of thing.
But what I can do is take this opportunity to chat through some of my favourite products, the things that I have adored all year and that I use and love every day, just in case there’s a person in your life who might appreciate something that has been tried, tested, and adored by some random chick on the internet.
This isn’t Christmas exclusive either. It’s literally just a list of some of the things that I love. What you choose to do with the information is totally up to you.
Personally I’d recommend spoiling yourself. But what do I know. I’m terrible at gift guides, remember?
I have raved and raved about the genius that is Alexandra Several plenty of times before (read a great Q&A I did with the legend herself a couple of years ago) but I don’t think I will ever be able to do this product justice. It changed my skin, and my life, entirely.
IS IT REALLY WORTH THE MONEY?? I wrote about this last year when I first got it but, since I’m putting it in here and use it every other day should be all the proof you need. I bloody love it. Never looking back.
Since they’re yet to invite SMOGS (smelly blogs, do you get it??) you might need to take my word for it when I say: this candle is the best part of Christmas. Hands down.
An incredibly rogue choice but arguably one of my best. I have very dry hair because life is not fair (hello, I’m a poet) and every morning I would wake up from a night of wriggling with a bird’s nest of dead hair that needed cutting wayyyy more often than I’d like.
Anyway. Getting one of these pillows changed my hair TOTALLY. Rather than murdering my hair with the cotton friction, I was slipping and sliding all over my pillow like a beautiful slug princess.
As much as I like the idea of wearing lipstick; I never wear it – I’m scared it will smudge or look stupid or be a mess. This is the only one I love and wear on the ‘regs’. I have three of them – one in the car, one in the kitchen and one in my makeup bag. It’s the best shade I’ve ever owned. Natural but kinda sassy.
This needs no explanation.
Again, a SMOG would be useful – but if there’s someone fancy in your life that is one of those people you deem ‘impossible to buy for’, this is what you need. Mhmm, my house smells hella-good.
The one not just in my pictures, but in everybody’s pictures. Iconic. Sensational. And most importantly? STRETCHY.
Probably an odd gift. Here’s a huge hint and the promise of regular agony, but on the plus side, your hair will take ages to grow back and it stubbly legs will become a thing of the past so enjoy! (Read about why I won’t go back to shaving anymore here)
Last year I found these guys after I discovered the ‘blood orange’ scent which CHANGED MY LIFE and now there is this and it’s delicious. If you’ve got someone fun and fresh and bubbly in your life, this is the cutest gift for them.
Truthfully, I think I still prefer the cleanser by Alexandra Soveral BUT this bad boy is a fraction of the price at £15 and is VERY good. Everyone raves about it and I totally understand why. I’m enjoying it very much indeed.
Alex got me this for my birthday and I’m pleased to report that my daily ritual of losing my bank card is OVER. It’s beaut and cute and fancy and fab – a great prezzie tbh.
If this looks well loved it’s because it absolutely is. I adore it. I use it all the time, it’s perfect for people that ‘like’ makeup but don’t really get it. It’s perfect for people always on the move. It’s perfect, full stop to be honest. Love it.
If you’ve got a pal going through the hell of decorating somewhere new, these are GREAT. I would never have thought to go to H&M for cushions and yet their collection is extensive AND reasonably priced.
Hello and welcome to the reason I have a a handbag. I love these so much. The sound quality is aces and they look cool and they’re just my best pals whom I adore *heart emojis times a million*.
I can’t do this justice. I would not even know how to start. It’s a godsend. It pumps out the most delicious of smells (whatever smell you put into it) with all the enthusiasm you could want from a diffuser. It’s under £20 and look at the pretty colours!
The best hair mask in existence. A great present for basically anyone in your life who has hair.
Alex and I met at Glastonbury (I know, someone write a movie about us RIGHT NOW) in 2010 and I got him this print a few weeks ago. I love it. Without meaning to be too cheesy, every time I look at it I smile a bit because it’s been almost a bloody decade and what a cutie little memento eh.
If I think of anything else over the next few days (I will), keep an eye on my Instagram stories as I’ll pop them in there!
In the meantime, happy shopping and apologise to your bank balance for me!
