Any readers of the blog will already know that I bloody love Lena Dunham and her TV series Girls, I love her 'don't give a fuck attitude', her confidence and her total awesomeness when it comes to feminism and body positivity. I also love Jemima Kirke, her co-star, although I don't know much about her as an actress, her character is fabulous and she is everything that I aspire to be in life.
Anyhoo I now love them even more as two photos have been released of them modelling for New Zealand lingerie label, Lonely. The photos were released as part of the company's Lonely Girls Project, which is an "ongoing journal series featuring candid portraits of inspiring women in their own spaces."
In line with the brand's body positive message, the idea is that this underwear is created for women "who wear lingerie as a love letter to themselves" - which is beautiful and awesome and something that all women should do btw.
And of course the best bit is, is that neither Lena or Jemima has been photoshopped for these images (DUH. They're way too cool for that). Basically this underwear is beautiful and these images are amazing. The whole thing is a breath of fresh air and I love it, thanks everyone involved for reminding us that there is more than one way to look beautiful in lingerie.
