It will not have gone unnoticed that in recent weeks social media has been awash with videos of the mannequin challenge. There have been some pretty incredible ones out there from huge events to gym floors to lessons, but none have resonated with me quite as much as the one that has just been released by the charity Parkinson's NSW on their Facebook page.

Since there are an estimated 127,000 people in the UK living with the condition, the Mannequin Challenge video was shared along with the caption: “For people with Parkinson’s, life is their challenge.” Although Parkinson's is more common is people over the age of 50, one in 20 people with Parkinson’s experience symptoms before 40 and for sufferers, the involuntary shaking that happens often makes standing still and completing every day tasks almost impossible.

Which is why I found this video so poignant and had to share it with all of you. Please do share it around.
