"These are a few of my favourite thingssss...."
Eeek! So this is the first time that I have done anything like this, but I thought, since I'm trying to make a career out of blogging, I'd get into the spirit of things and start doing what other bloggers do, talk about what they love! (Suits me fine, I love talking about myself.. lol. Joking... kind of...)
Anyway, I LOVE this time of year so so much, I love that it's not so cold that you can't go outside without frostbite but it's just cold enough that you can get all snuggly in the evenings. I love big cosy jumpers and boots and most of all I love the fashion trends at this time of year. So I thought I would, if it's okay with y'all - share a few things that I am absolutely loving this September, as the weather finally cools down enough for us to do something with them! Enjoy :)
This is a truly wonderful book that I am REALLY enjoying. I first fell in love with Bryony when I read her first book The Wrong Knickers (also highly recommended) and so far, this one is living up to my expectations. Bryony talks about her life with a mental illness in such a relatable way which, considering 1 in 4 of us will suffer with a mental illness of some kind in our lives, is something that is so important. Even if you yourself have not had to battle with one of these conditions yourself, this is a very powerful book that I think everyone should read. As Bryony points out, on those statistics, 4 out of 4 of us will know someone with a mental illness. It's brutally honest, fun and very refreshing. This is a total must read. £10.49
A GREAT organiser! It started in August of 2016 and goes right through until January 2018. It's perfect if you, like me, didn't get organised in January like you promised yourself you would and are now tired of being late to everything. It's great fun with lots of inspirational quotes, drawings and stickers. £15.42
I love this so so much. My skin gets very dry at this time of year and it is essential that I apply a primer before foundation otherwise the lines on my face really show and the foundation clings to areas of dry skin. This is only £6.40 from Asda and as long as you give it a good shake before using it, is absolutely perfect!
Up until very recently, you wouldn't have seen me dead with a colour on my eyelid, but as we come into the autumn and I really get the hang on this whole blogging melarky, I'm falling a little bit in love with the idea of oranges and browns as eyeshadows. For that, this palette is perfect, I love the colours so much and to top it off it's only £8.99.
Oh my lord. I have fallen in love with this product - totally. It's advertised as a summer shimmer but I'm actually finding it perfect for this time of year. I've been using it on my cheekbones and it's been the perfect for highlighting and giving me a bit of a glow. It makes me look about 15 times more alive than I actually am which it makes it OK that it costs a bit more at £27.95 - a little does go a very long way though!
I don't know how I got so long in life before someone told me how important eyebrows were, but since finding out that when they're done YOUR WHOLE FACE HAS AN ACTUAL SHAPE I literally can't get enough of my brows. The one thing I can't be arsed with though is highlighting them using eyeshadow cause some how my brush is always a bit grubby and I end up smudging dark mess up there and looking crazy. This cut out that problem entirely, I literally just draw a quick line underneath the arch of my eyebrow and blend - it opens up the socket and basically makes me look fabulous. I really really recommend this one. £16.96
The smell of this alone will mean that you will never want to get out of the bath again. I'm prone to neglecting my skin so much at this time of year and my arms particularly get very rough and dry. This scrub has been amazing for that and I've been using it loads recently! Oh yeh and it's only £10.50 which just seems like the biggest bargain ever. Yeowwww. Sold.
There are lots of things about Topshop that I don't love, but their basics range truly is fabulous, in particular - their jeans. I've got a bad habit at this time of year of resorting straight back to my exclusively black wardrobe the moment the sun goes behind a cloud, so am making an extra special effort with these jeans! I normally love the Leigh ones but recently they have been letting me down and so I switched teams. Loving these - they've VERY high- waisted, they're very stretchy and are a great colour. 10/10 from me. (Just remember that they're a bit short on the leg!) £40.
THIS IS CURRENTLY ON SALE! Aha sorry, I didn't know that when I started this piece but when looking for the link I noticed it's £10.00 off at the mo! I LOVE this jumper and have spent many a lazy day in it! Very comfy. Very slouchy. Very perfect for this time of year! £14.90
So I found these shoes in Copenhagen a month ago during a hellish 'oh help me my blisters I need new shoes NOW' moment and basically haven't taken them off since. They are SO comfortable, I'm in love! It's not quite cold enough right now for boots and not warm enough for sandals so trainers are my compromise and I'm loving it. Comfy and cool, just the way I like it. Oh, also. They're only £19.99. Winner winner chicken dinner.
This is totally random and out of place in this collection, but I love it so much that I don't really care. This is basically meant for your desk, for pens etc. but I'm using it for makeup brushes and love it. So just thought I'd let y'all know about it! £9.95
So there you have it, that's what I'm loving right now!! I know this is a little different to the normal Pretty Normal Me content, but I thought I'd give something new a go, I hope you liked it, (I loved making it!). If you do like it please let me know and I'll do what I can to make this a regular feature!
