MY DAILY STRUGGLES WITH THE 7 DEADLY SINS

We all know about the seven deadly sins, the story of Pandora and her box (which apparently was actually a jar) is a story taught to most of us at a very young age. But just in case you weren't, here's a refresher for you; Pandora was given a box, was told not to open it, did it anyway (naughty girl) and in doing so she let out all the bad things in the world, greed, envy, sloth, pride, lust, gluttony and wrath. She unfortunately got frightened and slammed the box shut, leaving Hope inside it and left us all doomed for failure. I think. I can't actually remember.

Any hoo, even if some of us (me) don't fully understand the origin of this, we all know that the seven deadly sins, thanks to their incredibly ominous title, are very very bad and are things that we're not supposed to do.

But as I mused over them last night, glass of wine in hand, I realised that if these sins are in fact deadly, then I am destined for an after life of misery, because as a twenty first century girl I seem to experience each and every one of them on a daily basis.

Greed: Every time I walk past any window display or see any advert ever.

Envy: Every time I look on Instagram

Sloth: Every time my alarm goes off in the morning.

Pride: Every time I do ANYTHING even slightly productive.

Gluttony: Every time I open the fridge.

Wrath: Every time I see the Mail Online.

Lust: Every time I think about John Snow. (Not the TV presenter. The one that knows nothing).

And I'm not sure I'm alone with this. In fact, if this is anything to go by then I think I'm doing something morally wrong at least once an hour, so I just wanted to let you know that if you are too, then not to worry.

If we do in fact all end up in hell, at least we'll all be there together.
