As 2015 draws to a close, it's time for us to announce the woman that we have followed avidly, adored and admired throughout the year and no prizes for guessing that the title falls very much onto the shoulders of everybody's relatable 'it' gal, Jennifer Lawrence.

Although, strictly speaking we've been in love with Jennifer long before the start of '15, she has this year gone from awesome to awesomer (not a word but we like it) and so we just wanted to say a mahoosive thank you to J-Law for being a total babe.

To celebrate we wanted to take a look at all the times she has been exceptionally normal as well as being a total Goddess over the last year.

THAT open letter:

Of course Jennifer made the biggest splash this year with the open letter that she wrote about the gender pay gap in Hollywood, inspired by how much less she got paid than her male co-stars for her role in American Hustle. This letter shone a light on an incredibly important area and actually led to the beginning of a much broader conversation about the pay gap.

Since the publication of the letter, many people have jumped onto the bandwagon and Hollywood's highest ranking executives have since met to create more opportunities for women in entertainment.

Sandra Bullock summed it up nicely saying: "Thank God for Jennifer Lawrence and her ability to write and to point the finger at herself." Hear hear.

The fact that she gets really nervous too:

We tend to assume that if you are an awesome A-lister like Jen then you take everything in your stride, refreshingly however she has admitted that when she get's stressed, she get's sick.

"I am a puker. When I get stressed and exhausted I just vomit. I was driving with my publicist the other day and had to roll down the window and I puked all down the side of the car. It was in front of the paparazzi - I painted New York. And I threw up at Madonna's party - on the porch!"

So although it's kinda gross, we love that she is human too.

She condemned Hollywood for it's obsession with weight:

This is an issue very close to our heart here at PNM and so it's pretty cool to see Hollywood's most popular actress speaking out about it's shortcomings surrounding this issue:

"I hate all the focus on weight and size that you have in our business. I don't think an actress needs to be skinny to be attractive and it sends the wrong message to young women. It's important that, as actresses, we need to establish ourselves first and foremost for our talent and not for our physical appearance."

*air punch*

She was as clumsy as the next girl:

After falling down the stairs on Christmas morning it's nice to remind myself that superstars trip over too as Jen showed us (again) as she stumbled on the red carpet of the Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2 in Madrid. This is beyond refreshingly normal.

She literally took NO bullshit:

After becoming Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer of the year she said in an interview: "People start to feel a lot less guilty when you become bigger or have more money. People feel less guilty because it's like stealing a snickers from Duane Reade. People forget about the personal drain or the attack that you feel. The minute I feel like someone is using me or is in it for the wrong reasons, I have zero guilt about cutting them the fuck out of my life."

Her tattoo was as practical as they come:

This year Jen got H20 tattooed onto her hand, simply to remind her to drink more water. It just doesn't get any more practical than that.

Like the rest of us, she just doesn't love New Year's Eve:

We put SO much pressure on New Year's Eve to be the BEST NIGHT EVER and so it was a pretty great relief to hear that we're not alone in hating the hype. Jennifer said last night to Graham Norton: "Everyone's chasing a good time and it's always adisappointment. I always end up drunk and disappointed." Us too Jen, us too.

There are a million and ten reasons to love Jennifer Lawrence and these are of course only a few but we just wanted to say a huge thank you to her for being a complete and utter legend this year. Here's to her never changing!
