Just in case you need them, and in light of my blog post earlier this week about feeling inexplicably “flat” with no obvious idea how to pull yourself up, here are 72 things that you might just need to hear right now…

  3. Cancel that free trial
  4. Text your friend back
  5. Book your smear test
  6. You look great
  7. Pick up your book
  8. There is no wrong way to have a body
  9. You are the best qualified person in the whole wide world to be you
  10. Smile
  11. Yes, you do deserve a bar of chocolate
  12. No, that awkward moment you keep replaying in your mind wasn’t actually that bad
  13. Really, it wasn’t
  14. Honestly, you’re not the only person to finish off an email to your boss with “I love you”
  15. You are loved (yes, even by your boss, just maybe not in the way you want)
  16. People are not deliberately leaving you out of things
  17. People are not talking about you behind your back
  18. People do like having you around
  19. You don’t need to feel guilty for putting yourself first
  20. You’re not boring
  21. Having a bath is not that indulgent
  22. Food should not be evoking feelings of guilt
